Fics like Thorns

Amy is a photographer and secret Omega living with her gay childhood friend, Sonic, a Beta who helps her maintain her cover and avoid becoming bound to an Alpha and losing her independence. She meets Shadow, a billionaire CEO of a pharmaceutical company (and, of course, an Alpha) with a dark/tragic past (I give you 1 guess as to who is involved with that), at a $1,000 per plate donor dinner for Rouge's mayoral campaign, for whom Amy does photography. Season 1 has concluded with Ch 30 *** Modern Setting with no Chaos Energy/Magic. Romantic Drama shenanigans ensue whilst a suspense plot lurks in the background. Knuxouge subplot, Sonilver subplot. *** Please consider giving this a read even if its not your usual ship or genre. Many readers have commented that they've been sucked in despite initial skepticism. The fic is structured like a telenovela or TV drama, so capturing the breath of the story and intricacies of the character interactions is difficult in a summary.
