Fics like the devil is my strength and my defense

In some weird way Matt’s ended up becoming part of Frank’s unit here. A brief, warm feeling spreads within him. It’s good to have a unit. It’s part of Frank’s conceptualization of the world, it’s how the army raised him. Your unit is people you trust irrevocably, unconditionally, it’s blind faith, and somehow Frank finds himself extending this to the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. The Punisher works alone but he knows — he knows — Red would be there for him. Frank’s back in New York, finding himself in the company of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen and the line between Red and Matt Murdock starts to blur more than he’d like to admit.
