When he finds out that it's BOBBY that is keeping him from returning to his family, he decides that his only course of action to return to where he belongs is to file a lawsuit against the department. Buck is miserable the entirety of the lawsuit, but he thinks at least it can't get worse than his entire pack hating him. Until he learns that he has cancer. And on top of that, he has to amputate his leg. And throughout everything, he has no one to turn to.
