Prince Akaashi had lived a tranquil life. His family ruled the kingdom in peace for generations—no wars, no heavy taxes, no unrest. A quiet, noble existence. But peace is fragile. One night, everything shatters. A coup d'état strikes the castle, forcing Akaashi to flee with nothing but the clothes on his back and the loyalty of his two closest companions—his steadfast knight, Ushijima and Oikawa. They escape into the depths of the forest, believing isolation will bring safety. But the woods are not empty. And the world beyond their kingdom is not what they expected. ---- “So, uh… it’s part of the tradition,” he said, eyes flicking toward the dancers. “You don’t have to or anything, but… would you like to dance?” Keiji looked up at him, surprised—but then he smiled, small and genuine. “I’d like that.” Before he stepped away, he turned to Ushijima, who stood like a silent sentinel near the fire. “Will you be alright here?” Ushijima didn’t hesitate. His gaze flicked briefly to Bokuto, then back to Keiji. “If he touches you inappropriately,” he said, deadpan, “I will break his arm.”
