Fics like Forgotten Dreams

A royal Prince gives up on his dreams after being cursed. Packs them away into a part of himself where he won't have to look at them, where their loss won't have to hurt. He pushes them away, buries them in darkness, and tries to protect himself from the pain of remembering them. He does not give them a chance to grow. Many years later, a boy named Will is born of those dreams, and sent out into the world with nothing but a borrowed sword, a book, and a fairy for a friend. He is six years old.
