Fics like we hug now

“Answer my question honestly, Drew. Why are you here?” She pressed, and then her mannerism of leaning into people’s personal space out of determination is shown again. She takes a few steps closer. “I–” He chokes on his own words, if he even had any. “Is it because of the promise?” She glares at him, and she seems torn between confusion and anger while anticipating his answer. “Yes.” He affirms quietly, and he struggles not to look at the floor because wow, it’s really nice right now. He tries to swallow his bile. “Why?” ___________________ After a full year since the fight, Drew has had a lot of time to reflect and reevaluate himself. Unfortunately, he also has a lot of time to be swallowed by guilt and loneliness. Led by a promise he made with his cousin Milly when they were kids, he goes to her house and tries to set things right. With the music club staying over, this could either go terribly wrong or surprisingly right. Or both.
