Fics like The King of the North

When a half-frozen seven-year-old boy drifts into the quiet port of Swallow Island, the last thing Law, Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin expect is to accidentally adopt him. Luffy, as he quickly introduces himself, turns out to be a walking disaster with big dreams, bigger appetites, and a heart even bigger than that. Under the sharp eyes of their reluctant mentor Wolf, the boys set out to turn this stubborn stray into a halfway respectable human being. Instead, Luffy turns them into a family. Between Bepo's endless lectures on manners, Penguin and Shachi’s tragic attempts to educate Luffy about girls, and Law’s slow descent into grumpy older brotherhood, chaos quickly becomes the new normal on Swallow Island. Ten years of laughter, brawls, awkward talks about romance, and dreams so bright they could dazzle the sun itself. They thought they were teaching Luffy how to live. Turns out he was teaching them how to dream. ... A glimpse into Luffy's childhood if he had ended up in North Blue for some reason.
