Fics like My Friend, My Brother

Future Master Leonardo Hamato was there, looking down on him with a pair of glowing white eyes and a mixture of pity and a sort of benevolent understanding on his face. Although Leo sensed another presence he didn't move from his position curled up on the ground, grasping the photo of his loved ones close to his heart and leaning over so far his face was practically in between his knees. Neither did he move when the future version of him - the one who had suffered for decades, sacrificed everything, and himself succumbed to the terrible power of the krang - walked up to him, knelt down to crouch beside him, and reached a hand out to rest it on the back of his shell. -or- After Leo dies to the krang he finds himself in the presence of a future version of himself. But is future Master Leonardo there to offer words of comfort, or to add pain to his misery? And is it really too late for the young hero who saved the world by fixing a mistake he made, or will he be given a second chance?
