Fics like Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone - Alternative Universe

This story is set in a AU where Harry actually is competent in learning magic, is far more confident, self assured and overall a better protagonist that moves the story forward. In other words, if you are looking for a canon rewrite of Harry Potter, this is not for you. This fic will focus on Harry's first year at Hogwarts, differently than canon, my version of Harry will actively push the story forward alongside being more interested in his studies, his magical abilities and other details that will be appearing throughout the story. Expect major changes in certain characters personalities and some of the events. While most of the overall plotline will remain the same, a few of the plot bits and scenes will be changed to fit MY version of what I would've liked to have seen in the Harry Potter books series.
