Fics like Soft Places

A story where silence doesn’t mean nothing is happening. Sometimes, it means everything. When Saul Silva finds a young girl alone in the snow outside Alfea, silent and shivering with more bruises than words, he brings her inside without hesitation. The girl doesn’t speak, doesn’t trust, and flinches from even the softest sounds. She is not a fairy, not a student—just a child with nowhere to go and a past too painful to name. In the stillness of winter, with the school quiet and blanketed in snow, Farah and her boyfriend Saul begin to create a space where the young girl might feel safe—just enough to eat, just enough to sleep, just enough to begin healing. It is slow. It is quiet. And it matters. This is not a story of magic. This is a story of warm soup, gentle hands, and the bravery it takes to sit close without running. A story about finding comfort in the smallest things—a hoodie, a soft toy rabbit, a braided strand of hair, a chair pulled up beside the window.
