Fics like you will rip your wounds open again (and what will it earn you? revenge?)

Commissioner James Gordon greets Hotch with a grim handshake. ‘Grim’ seems an apt descriptor for anything to do with Gotham City—its crime rate, its air quality index, and its citizens. The Commissioner embodies the word. There are tight wrinkles by his eyes and dour lines around his mouth. Strong swathes of grey cut through his hair. “I would welcome you,” he says, eyes flinty, “but my boys don’t want you here, and frankly, I doubt you’re prepared for what you’re about to get into. None of you ever are.” — Foyet kills in Gotham City. Red Hood takes offense. The BAU gets caught in the middle.
