Fics like In The Corner of My Eye

"Mav watches his fingers idly tapping on the tabletop. In the corner of his eye, he can vaguely see a slight movement that he knows isn't coming from anybody in the house. “Dad,” Bradley says, getting Mav's attention. “Hm?” He looks up at him, green eyes wide. Dark blond eyebrows scrunch together. “You alright? Looked like you spaced out there for a minute.” “Yeah.” He clears his throat. “Yeah, I'm just fine, Gosling.”" Or, Mav's been seeing the flyboys and Carole and his husband occasionally in odd spots around the house in the corner of his eye, even though they're all long gone. He finally tells Bradley when Bradley and Jake come to spend the day with him.
