Fics like With a Hop, a Skip, and a-- Whoops!

You meandered down the well worn dirt path that wound all the way through Home, swinging your arms as you looked up and around at the sky and neighbourhood. It was quiet-- it seemed like no one else was awake yet, or out of their houses at the very least. Still snuggled up in their beds perhaps. Eyes trailing back to the path, you stopped short as they landed on something very odd. You rubbed your eyes and blinked to clear them, but it stayed-- or rather, he stayed. Wally lay on the ground ahead of you, completely prone and limp. The hearts on the soles of his shoes were visible, the top of his feet pressed flat against the ground. ----- Or, you help Wally up to his feet.
