Fics like We Can Hold You

"They would need to get the stitches out before anything could be done, which will be no pleasure cruise. The wound, angry and red, is still leaking blood all over the feverish skin, the cowboy’s shirt soaked through. If they don’t act now, soon there will be nothing to salvage. Red all over, red pouring, red pooling under him. He can’t tear his eyes, feels them getting filled with all this blood like he wants to make it disappear because if he stares at the blood maybe it’ll stop flowing and he’d have done everything in his power. “How come you live on your own most of the time and you can’t even stitch yourself back up ?” Jack mumbles, as if to himself." When the cowboy gets hurt, it comes to the Daltons to save his skin.
