Fics like where the past and future intertwines

And now, more than anything, Akari wished for that effortless grace Rei has in navigating this fast-paced world, the inherent skill that came prior to his life in Hisui— because what in Arceus’ name was that tacky contraption hanging from this funny-looking boy’s hat? What was that two-sided, rectangular thing that he carried around and opened with the ease of flipping a sketchbook to draw? That ratchet currently grinding against her ears— did her descendants lose their ways from the simplicities of flutes and drums, and now call this… nuisance as their music? The new friendship that bloomed between Akari and Giacomo— two Dark-type Sync Pairs that only recently called Pasio as their second home —was quickly put to test when the missing member of their three-teamed tag battle showed up: Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket himself, clad in his newest Sygna Suit. Akari quickly learned that despite her cluelessness with this modernized world, nothing can't be done if she has someone to do it— even while being scared —together with.
