Fics like The Blood of Lathander

Astarion wants the sun. He wants to bask in the light of dawn, unafraid and unharmed; let it kiss him and not burn; let its light be his private joy, not his fear. How exhausting it is, to be afraid of something he loves so desperately. It turns out the feeling is mutual. Astarion's quest to see the sun again triggers multiple religious (and romantic) crises. ~ Note on romantic content (setting expectations): Bloodweave takes center-stage in terms of screen time, and the Astarion/Lathander relationship tag is the stage the boys are struggling to survive on. Shadowheart often mediates everyone's experience with love and the gods, for better or worse.
