Fics like Keeping Secrets

Despite being his best friend, roommate, and business partner, there was surprisingly little that Cheng Xiaoshi really knew about Lu Guang. His roommate rarely shared anything about his past life, before his time at the photo studio. In fact, to-date, all that Cheng Xiaoshi had been able to pry out of him was that he was: 1. An only child 2. Allergic to bananas He still wasn't sure if that second one was an actual allergy, or just one of those things Lu Guang said because he didn’t enjoy its texture. He was still wasn't sure about a lot of when it came to Lu Guang, his supposed best-friend-and-business partner, the only person other than Qiao Ling who seemed to be here to stay. It frustrated him. The younger boy was decidedly a closed book. Conversations about their childhoods always circled back to Cheng Xiaoshi, so did ones about their parents, friends, and dating lives before they met each other. Cheng Xiaoshi had been able to shrug it off before, but the longer they knew each other the more it felt like Lu Guang was keeping secrets. Or: Cheng Xiaoshi pries, and regrets what he finds.
