Fics like the vampire

“What are you?” Felix asked, feeling his phone buzz against his thigh. He stared at his thigh. Then at his shorts. Which had sluttishly stretched up his legs. Then back at the stranger, who was staring at Felix’s thighs as well. “I’m a rugby player.” He pointed at his jersey. “Right,” the man said, cradling his own Bloody Mary. “I’m a vampire.” “Ah,” Felix said. A bit out of vogue, he thought, Anne Rice’s poofy, powdered villains clacking around in high-heeled boots across his mind. “Well, where are your fangs?” “Right here,” the man said, opening his mouth. Felix sipped his drink and leaned in close, inspecting the man’s unusually long and pointy canines. He wanted to reach out and prod the points, but he didn’t. “Very cool,” he said, giving the man a thumbs up.
