Fics like northern attitudes

Months after the breakup, a few days after the hookup, and a few hours after Tommy stands him up for their scheduled meeting, Buck decides he's had enough. He's tired of hurting, of being, of LA and everything else, so he packs up and leaves for Alaska, with everyone none the wiser. Determined to start over and be someone else, Buck finds himself healing, and processing grief and anger he never let himself feel. And love, so much love, all of it for Tommy He doesn't know that Tommy desperately didn't mean to miss the meeting - it was just a case of a very bad shift and even worse luck It's not until wildfires rage in Alaska that they meet again, by pure chance. Thankfully, neither of them is willing to let it go again. or buck goes to alaska, finds things, finds himself, misses tommy, gets a dog, gets tommy. tommy...copes. ft a big reunion
