Fics like 'Can you imagine what they really look like?'

The names we are all given upon birth sometimes grow to suit us, and sometimes do not. Likewise, the things we choose for ourselves can seem apt in the moment, but as we change as people from moment to moment and choice to choice, that decision can continue to fit, or become incredibly wrong. ___ "What was that part about, like.. 'simplifying your appearance'? Is this not actually what you look like?” “Oh, yeah no.. well, it’s what I look like now! Like, this is who I’ve been for thousands of years so this form definitely feels like me, if that’s what you mean…” There’s a moment of silence as Crown ponders this. Until they speak up, “So why did you choose an hourglass?” /// Two discussions about names, identity, and appearance. Mostly inspired by the Operator Training Video.
