Fics like Fake It Till You Make It

“What are you celebrating?” Buck’s voice made Eddie spin around with wide eyes, clamping his mouth shut. He probably looked like a deer caught in headlights. Buck raised a questioning eyebrow at him, and Eddie opened his mouth to say something, except he didn’t know what, because he couldn’t exactly tell Buck that the reason for their celebration was the death of his ex-boyfriend. And, listen. Eddie has no clue why his following response was the one to tumble out of his mouth. Maybe because he was thinking about Tommy, his brain was making the connection to ‘gay.’ He really has no other explanation. “My coming out.” Or: How Eddie celebrating Tommy's death leads to him having to 'pretend' to be gay.
