You're a young baker, trapped in an abusive relationship with your boyfriend. Unable to leave him, you use your job as escapism while hiding the wounds and bruises as well as you can. When your bakery is chosen to cater a small charity event, you cross paths with Homelander, which happens to be the first step on your way back to a better life. (Slow burn romance, Homelander rescues Reader from her abusive boyfriend and they fall in love.)
