He moves with such ease, leaning down to inspect the booted tired, not a trace of worry on his face. On autopilot, Buck grabs the spare tire and his toolbox from the back of the car, stumbling a little as his eyes catch on the lines of Eddie’s biceps in the street lamp’s glow. “Eddie, if we don’t leave in like ten minutes, we’re not going to make it,” Buck sighs, looking down at his friend crouched on the sidewalk. Eddie stands up, stepping unbearably close to Buck, breath warm on Buck’s cheek. He reaches out and wraps his hand around the toolbox handle, their skin burning where their hands meet. “Good thing I only need five, Buckley,” Eddie smirks, giving Buck a wink as he pulls the toolbox from Bucks's suddenly loose grasp.
