Fics like that which we call a rose

“Mister Murdock?” Peter gasps impulsively, and realizes his mistake only when the masked guy’s head snaps up, his shoulders tensing like he’s been stabbed. He recognizes him now—he’s not just the lawyer, Matt Murdock. He’s Daredevil. Who has, as much of the public knows, some extreme form of super senses. Peter freezes on the rooftop. Daredevil ditches the fight after some well-aimed blows—more vicious now, which turns Peter’s stomach, knowing how vigilantes feel about their identities—and lunges onto the roof beside Peter with a certain graceful violence that Peter, however experienced a vigilante he may be, finds himself fearing. Daredevil paces up to him, closes a hand around Peter’s throat, and hisses, “Who are you?” So Peter was right. // Post-NWH, Peter meets Daredevil and, subsequently, Matt Murdock.
