Fics like Old Habits

“I want to try to be friends with you again,” Karlie stated, punctuating each word to let her know that her patience had thinned. Eying her skeptically, Taylor pointed out, “I thought we were?” Karlie sucked in her cheeks with an actual pout. One last show of resistance before inertia won out, Taylor knew it quite well. Karlie was slipping on the edge of the cliffside now. Rubber sneakers clinging fruitlessly to the smooth face of weatherbeaten sheetrock. “Like we used to be,” she muttered, letting Taylor force her hand. Taylor grinned, toothy and white. “Sure. Let’s be friends… exactly like we used to be.” - All the ways Karlie seeped into the writing of TTPD after attending that one LA Eras show, including how a particular bonus track came to be.
