Fics like Kingdom of Second Chances

Swept up in the magical mysteries still lurking beneath the surface in Avalor, Queen Elena Castillo-Flores of Avalor doesn't know what to do when villains once again threaten her beloved kingdom. She thought, after becoming queen, it would all be over. She was wrong. However, this time, she can't use her magic to fight them. Her kingdom is left helpless in the face of adversity, and so, she turns elsewhere for help. Help, that comes in the form of a strange child, brought across the ocean shrouded in heavy chains and dark secrets. Varian, still furious and hurting after the Battle of Old Corona, has had just about enough of prison. He is done waiting around, and knows that he absolutely must escape, and save his dad. When he finds out he is being brought across the sea to help a kingdom defeat their own villains, he thinks this is his chance to finally show everyone who they dared wrong. However, Avalor is different than Corona, and exacting his vengeance becomes a whole lot more complicated when people finally believe in him. Varian is more than an unstable alchemist. >!ON HIATUS AND WILL LIKELY REMAIN UNFINISHED!<
