Fics like Take It From Here

Carmy Berzatto, a once-prominent chef in New York City, abandons his career to take over the family's struggling sandwich shop in his hometown of Chicago after a life-altering call. Sydney Adamu, a chef and new mother, faces ruin when her life in New York falls apart, forcing her to return to Chicago with nothing but her baby and an empty bank account. As fate would have it, their paths cross. With Carmy looking for a sous and Sydney in need of a place to stay, what starts out as a simple arrangement turns into an unexpected partnership where both of them fulfill each other in ways they haven't experienced before.
