Fics like the trajectory

At Hogwarts, Sirius Black is used to being wanted. Remus Lupin is used to wanting. When Sirius throws himself into a new relationship with gorgeous Ravenclaw Eloise, Remus retreats further into silence - behind books, behind curtains, behind spells meant to muffle anything that might betray him. What Sirius sees as harmless desire, Remus experiences as something sharper: a reminder of everything he can’t ask for, everything he’s learned to endure alone. Because Remus suffers from another afflictions besides his lycanthropy. As misunderstandings widen the space between them, avoidance turns into absence, and a single moment changes the trajectory of whatever they were to each other. Caught between being wanted and being loved, between loyalty and longing, Sirius and Remus circle a truth neither of them knows how to say out loud.
