Fics like safe & sound

When you're at a hockey game, you're the last one to expect getting hurt at the end of the night. But this time, a stray puck managed to hit you right across the brow after a rogue slap shot went out of bounds, and you find yourself being driven back to Brock Boeser's apartment after being patched up at the hospital. Brock is your best friend. He insists on taking care of you, so you have no choice but to give in to your whims. The night is full of unfamiliarities, but touches of what your friendship really is, regardless of the glaring issue of a giant wound trying to ruin it all. All in all, it encapsulates everything you love about him, and you find comfort in the man you've been harbouring feelings for but have pushed down to salvage a friendship that started in the most unconventional of ways.
