Fics like Infinity (On The Run)

Agent Aban Stone watched the final seconds of Robotnik's livestream every night. That is where infinity hides, somewhere deep within his irises. He could paint each individual millisecond if time allowed it, an art gallery that never ends. A beautiful display of the day Stone lost everything. Except, there isn't enough paint in the world, and not nearly enough canvases, so instead the video plays on a loop. A constant white noise he's learned to tune out. Not for the first time, Stone prayed to whoever would listen. If there were flying foxes and hedgehogs faster than the speed of light, there must be something out there that could bring Robotnik back. He'd trade his soul, tear out his lungs, he'd give anything. All Agent Stone wanted was his doctor back. ————— (AKA; Team Sonic + Shadow attempt to balance cheering up a depressed barista and hunting down a doctor gone AWOL. It goes about as well as you'd think.) (AKA#2; Sonic and Shadow are both oblivious idiots that wouldn’t know they were in love even if Cupid shot them directly in the face at point-blank range.)
