Fics like lay me gently in the cold, dark earth

Jihoon realizes that he will either have to watch Soonyoung turn into a vampire, pinpointing the exact moment that his soul dies and his body remains, or he will have to drive a blade through the other’s chest himself. Slit his throat, put a bullet in his head—it doesn’t matter. Either way, he is forced to watch the other come to his end. Forced to adjust to a world without Soonyoung in it. He tries and fails to ignore the treacherous burning of his eyes. In a world where a vampire bite means certain death for you and those around you, Jihoon’s world tilts dangerously at its axis when he finds Soonyoung passed out on his doorstep—two telltale punctures in his neck. A vampire hunter turning into a vampire. And Jihoon tries. They both do. But it’s hard to do things differently when they are controlled by an organization that seems to be rotten inside. Authorities that have told nothing but lies.
