Fics like Concerning Straw Hats

"I think… I see the mistake you have made, young man." Luffy's brow furrowed at that. "You don't need a thief… you need a burglar." After the events of Orange Town the Straw Hat Pirates discuss the need to expand their crew. This includes a proper thief, so that Nami can focus on being their navigator. Luckily for them, a twist of fate sees them encounter a mysterious fog bank... which leads them to the Gray Havens. There, after a chance encounter, Luffy, Zoro, and Nami are introduced to a particular burglar, five years after his journey with the Company of Thorin Oakenshield, who has realized he is quite ready for another adventure...
