“You slept with her, didn’t you?” Wilson has his back to her, but his voice is loud enough to carry. She can’t see House at all, but she assumes he’s just behind the brick wall. Who else would Wilson be talking to like that? And who else would he be talking to House about like that? It occurs to her that this might be the only way to get the truth about how House really feels about her now: if he doesn’t know she’s listening. She makes sure the door doesn’t make much noise as she shuts it before leaning against it and listening to how the conversation plays out. “Why do you always expect the worst?” House accuses lightly. “Because you consistently deliver the worst, House.” Wilson brings his hands to his hips. “Because you’ve been acting sketchy all day. Because you only ever bring me to the roof when you don’t want anyone to overhear it when I yell.” “I didn’t sleep with her.“ House says seriously. “But…?” Wilson gestures for him to continue. “But I—.” House sighs before trying again. “She kissed me.”
