Fics like Something New

The two had fallen into a routine over the years. Entering their seventh working together — not that Ivo was deliberately keeping track, it was simply information, and he prides himself on recalling data — they were firmly settled into a cycle, devoid of surprises or changes. Until Stone delivers Ivo’s morning latte wearing fucking eyeliner. It’s subtle. Short, neat wings, clearly applied with a practised precision. Stone is smiling as always, bright and chipper, as he says, “Good morning, doctor! Your latte.” Ivo stares for a moment, walking that line the way he always does, trying to puzzle out why his stomach twists at the sight before snatching the latte from him. “What the hell is on your face, agent?” -OR- Stone wears eyeliner to work. Robotnik has a normal, professional reaction to this.
