Fics like raining, cats and dogs, and other quandaries

Yosuke works the late Friday shift at the local JUNbiini once his lectures are done. Lately, he always sees this same guy standing outside in the same spot. Bundled in a woollen coat, he stares out into the street with a heavy plastic bag in his hands. It's as if he's waiting for something. Today is the day Yosuke is going to find out just what he's up to. Turns out Seta has a knack for finding lost pets, especially cats. Yosuke gets sucked into the affairs of amateur pet detection right alongside him, learning more about this curious stranger in the process. Maybe a few things about himself, too. In fact, Yosuke really can't help but be drawn inextricably into this Seta guy's orbit. As for why this is, well… he probably shouldn't analyse that too closely. Need that brainpower to track down Tama-chan before her elderly owner croaks. Written for Souyo Bang 2024!
