Fics like The Time We Weren't Meant To Have

Watching Lost for the first time in 2025: What if an unlucky soul crash-landed on the island… eleven years in the past? Days after Oceanic 815 goes down, another plane crashes - carrying a woman from 2025. She's stranded in 2004, with no way home and no idea how she got here. Worse? She’s still recovering from long COVID, and trying to explain why she isn’t a four-year-old (born in 1998) might get her labelled insane. The only thing more dangerous than the island is letting anyone know the truth. Only a few do. The rest? They think she’s just another survivor. She’s not. She’s stuck in time. On an island. Falling in love. And still struggling to breathe. Thanks, COVID-19. Time travel offers no warnings. Neither does loving Sayid. Every kiss feels stolen. The island doesn’t care that she wasn’t meant to be here with him. When Sayid cups her face, she forgets that this time was never hers to keep. (Takes place at the start of Season 1, Episode 19 just before Locke finds the plane in the forest - as I hadn’t yet seen past Season 2. Pairing: OC x Sayid Jarrah) Challenging myself to improve - Making each chapter better than the last! - ON HOLD -
