Fics like Who But You

This is how two years of calm, steady companionship and gentle, conspiratorial glances break apart: Obi-Wan tugs at the army-standard grey uniform that Cody keeps neatly uncreased, and his hand is on Cody’s neck and then his fingers brush against short dark hair, and Obi-Wan doesn't know which of them closes the distance so thoroughly. He pulls, but Cody lets himself fall; and then their mouths are on one another’s, and Cody’s nose is cold against Obi-Wan’s. Or: Cody and Obi-Wan find comfort in each other during the war. Right after Obi-Wan realises that, on his part, there are feelings involved, Cody pulls away without explanation. And this, Obi-Wan decides, is fine, except for all the ways it isn't fine.
