Fics like Just Desserts

10 years after Theresa Lisbon breaks his heart, Marcus Pike finds himself retired from the FBI and serving as the sheriff of Culver County, West Virginia. Culver Creek is a tiny little town in the county, and the most exciting thing to ever happen there was the time Donny Freeman's pigs got loose and terriorized the county for a few days, but Marcus is anything but bored. For starters, he's got a crush on Emma Crocker, the pretty lady who runs a cafe in town, and the feeling is mutual. Marcus and Emma are just starting to explore their feelings for one another when Emma's good-for-nothing exhusband shows up back in town as a massive blizzard hits the county. When the snow clears, a grisly discovery is made, and Emma's ex is the only suspect.
