Fics like An Outlandish Set of Circumstances

The prompt contained the following sentence: “Laurence is so repressed and Tharkay so self-contained that it sometimes feels like it would take an outlandish set of circumstances to get them to open up about their feelings.” I absolutely agree, and one of the challenges I’ve found with writing these two is that it often feels out-of-character for them to talk about their emotions or be verbally demonstrative, two things which I, personally, enjoy reading very much. I wanted to force them to say every tender, horny, romantic thing they might be feeling deep down inside their repressed 19th century minds, and the only way I could think of doing it is magic, inspired by This_is_Sere’s wonderful fic “Aperol Switch.” Thank you to VerdetCadet and sere(This_is_Sere) for their excellent work as beta readers! To punch_kicker15, I hope this fic fulfills your request and I truly hope you enjoy it. Thank you for such a well thought out request!
