Fics like When You Breathe Me In (My Heart Stops)

“So what you’re telling me is that you and I are in a fake relationship? One I haven’t consented to, but one you’re going to keep alive simply for the reason that your ego can’t handle the blow of being broken up with by your fake boyfriend.” As always when his interest is piqued, a bit of warmth mixes into Jeongguk’s scent. A heightening of his own senses, his wolf gearing up for a hunt. Taehyung recognizes it well. “Stop saying fake,” Taehyung demands. Jeongguk quirks an eyebrow. “It is fake.” “You are real,” Taehyung attempts to reason. “Our relationship is just… embellished.” OR: In an attempt to shake off a persistent colleague, Kim Taehyung spins a white lie that he’s in a relationship with another alpha—Jeon Jeongguk, who just so happens to be his best friend and roommate. Faced with the reality of keeping the act up, the two friends engage in whatever will keep the lie believable, crossing line after line as they fall deeper into the web they spun. Everything is going well until the lies don’t seem to be lies any longer, and they are forced to face the truth about their feelings.
