Fics like For Twenty Years I've Dreamt of How I'd Greet You

Odysseus was finally home. His raft had finally touched the sand on the shores of Ithaca. But just as he's about to leave the water behind, he notices a group of men ambush a ship armed with weapons. It's really not his problem, right? Of course, he gets involved anyway. There's just a feeling in his gut that he'd regret it otherwise. Besides, he met this nice young man who he's sure would be great friends with his son. *** Telemachus honestly thought the old man that showed up and started killing the suitors was a god in a shoddy disguise. He reacted accordingly, doing everything he could to help the man and keep him happy. It's not until the old beggar walks Telemachus up to the palace that he realizes who this really is. Athena thinks it's hilarious of course.
