Fics like When a Dead Man Walks in the Desert, Does He Make a Sound?

Gaze wandering to the P-51 once again, drawn to the little plane like a moth to a flame. Pacing around it, putting a hand on it’s side. “Well, aren’t you the prettiest damn thing, sweetheart?” Because who was to know that Pete had started talking to the planes because Goose did? Emulating his brother in all but blood, taking confidence in a somewhat odd habit through the ensuing years. Not noticing the tacky red fingerprints he left on the yellow paint as he hummed a nameless tune, pacing the plane’s perimeter, gauging what whoever owned the plane was up to. Peering into the opened belly of the plane to see the parts missing from the engine, standing on his tiptoes to see from another angle. Only to be startled by the sound of something shattering behind him. NOW FINISHED!! AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
