The strings of fate were messy. They were constantly weaving and tying and knotting together – it was all too easy for something to go wrong, for something to get tangled in the evermoving threads. Odysseus was sinking. He had lost, right at the end of his journey. He was plummeting towards the bottom of the sea, the hands of the fallen dragging him downwards. Until, suddenly, he fell through. Or Odysseus appears on a bus alongside two young demigods and a satyr right at the start of their first quest. Finding himself with a strange tie to one of them, and no way to get home, there wasn't much else to do other than follow along.
