Fics like Strangers in a Familiar Land

The gods can't leave their realms. Ascension makes you untouchable, but in return you can never touch the Earth again; Bound only to work through Godpokes and intermediaries. This is a fact every child in the Grove knows. A few months after Inspekta's fall from grace, strange people start to turn up in the Grove; Doing strange things, asking strange questions, making strange plans, and generally acting like they haven't touched grass for hundreds of years. This is probably unrelated. OR: The gods fear falling out of touch. If the humans won't come to them, why not go to the humans? It can't be that hard, can it?
