Fics like The Thief of the Forge

Toothless has worked as hired security during dragon raids for the last couple years—well, he got paid to protect some buildings and some farms whenever the dragons attacked. It was the only way he could currently pay the town back for their kindness of feeding and housing him, so he didn't say no when Bandit, the local blacksmith, asked him to watch the forge during the next raid. Someone had been taking advantage of the chaos to steal materials, and it was his job to stop them. Toothless realizes he might be in way over his head when he actually lays eyes on the thief.
