Fics like Rita Doogal and the Roundhouse Kick to Every Problem

When Rita Doogal is expelled from another school for kicking the bullies in the head, her Auntie Petunia and Uncle Denim are searching for options for her and her cousin Denish "Haré Pati"'s next school when a gray screech owl randomly flies through the window. Auntie must disclose the full story of how her parents died, the existence of the Wizarding World, and take Rita for her first shopping trip in Diagon Alley. When she finds her way via a brick barrier to Platform 9 & ¾, why is there a reporter with her name there looking for The Boy Who Lived? And why does Draca Malfoy think she’s a Weasley? And can she make friends and implement her loving parents' family motto "Doogals Do Good for Goodness's Sake?" In this fanfiction, I try to combine a balance of those elements I enjoy most from the original book series: friendship, bravery, love, magic, and humor--lots of silly humor, even entering PARODY territory at times. Rita Doogal is a happy, go-getter, athletic natural flyer, well-educated although often mixes up the many big words she's learned from her college educated guardians and her nerdy cousin. Oh, and she has her mother's hair and father's eyes!
