“Really though, Doctor.” Regulus crosses his arms, and the Doctor stops, tilting his head with a curious expression. “Who are you?” And, once again, the Doctor tells him. “You know when you’re a kid, and the adults tell you that the world is turning, but you just can’t bring yourself to believe it because it looks as though everything is standing still? Well, I can feel it.” He steps closer to Regulus, and takes hold of his hand, giving it a light squeeze. “I can feel the turn of the earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at 1000 miles an hour. The entire planet is hurtling around the sun at 67,000 miles an hour. And I can feel it. We’re falling through space, Regulus, you and me. We’re clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go…” The Doctor drops Regulus’ hand. “That’s who I am. Now, forget me, Regulus Black.” or; Doctor Who AU - James as the Doctor, Regulus as his companion. Time travelling, universe-exploring jegulus with plenty of angst but also happiness, I promise! You don't have to have seen the show to be able to read this (but you should, because it's an amazing show)
