Fics like Obsidian's Shadow: A Sonic Adventure 2 AU

Tonya had grown up believing she was the only one of her kind to exist. Sheltered in a valley of farmland known as Glacier Valley, she was raised as just another beloved member of the Maelstrom family. It didn't matter to them that she sported orange fur and a bushy tail. Every day of her childhood had been spent in the same cycle: wake up, take care of chores and the farmland, sit through her school-based lessons, play games with her adoptive brothers when they'd finished their homework. Fast-forward to present day. She'd just celebrated her 20th birthday, and now wonders what she'll do with her adult life. Fate answers this for her, when she experiences bizarre head pains, finds a wondrous glowing gemstone, and encounters a mysterious black and red hedgehog by the name of Shadow. Animal instincts tell her to fear him, but there's something he knows about her that she doesn't. Are their pasts intertwined? --Book 1 of 3. (Based on the Sonic the Hedgehog movies, but with video game elements. Canon character/Fan character shipping.) (**BE WARY OF IMITATED/STOLEN WORKS! I only post my fanfics here!**)
