Fics like Falling Bats caught in a Spiders’ Web

A high priority Justice League summons wasn’t unusual, on account of the numerous times that someone found out about an imminent invasion or an apocalypse or that there was a threat from beyond time. Usually only the leaguers on hand and available would come to these summons. But when John Constantine calls a summons, you go. “Alright, don’t get your panties in a twist you ‘lot. We’re just gettin’ a couple visitors who’ll be stayin’ in Gotham for the next year or so. High priority that they stay alive.” Batman growled “Are they a threat?” Constantine did a smoke before answering “Nah, worse.” The tension worsened in the league battle room. “They’re expecting.”
