Fics like neither love nor mercy

They can’t even have children together, Dior keeps thinking as he runs; a stupid detail to fixate on. It’s a dead end for both their families. But of course, he thinks a second later, kinslayers wouldn’t care about that. Ten, he hears distantly. Nine. Eight. He doesn’t make it far. Before Dior is crowned, Celegorm and Curufin find him in the woods outside Tol Galen. They are not keen to let another chance at marriage with Thingol's line, and the attendant Silmaril, slip through their fingers.
